We are tremendously excited to announce this year’s keynote speaker, Dr. Natasha Myers, Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at York University. She is also the convenor of the Politics of Evidence Working Group, director of the Plant Studies Collaboratory, and on the editorial board of the journal Catalyst: Feminism, Theory, Technoscience. Her political work, her research in science studies, but also art, movement, the senses, and the “planthropocene” give her a unique perspective on the imaginative and analytical potential of colour, tints, and tones. Her new work experiments with affective ecologies and interactions between plants and people, and communicatory multi-species relations. To learn more about her past, present, and future projects, see her website here.
Dr. Myers will be joining us to deliver the keynote address at our meet and greet reception event, the evening of Thursday March 30th. She will then participate as a discussant for one of our panels during the conference day, March 31st.
We greatly look forward to hosting her for this event!
